The National Harbor is a gorgeous place to go on a nice day. Great for date nights or just hanging out with friends. The scenery is beautiful especially at the Capital Wheel. I was able to find a discount for the wheel so I got on for about half the original price. I am afraid of heights, so I was a little hesitant to get on; however, it is a beautiful sight from up above. The line can be a little long at times but it is worth it. The wheel doesn't move extremely fast so it's not scary at all. If you are afraid of heights, be prepared for the stop and go that occurs when loading all of the passengers. It goes around two times before letting everyone off. Make sure you have your camera ready because the view is amazing.

Simply AWESOME! We took our two young boys up on the Wheel and it was great - the views are amazing and the ride is smooth. This isn't your typical "ferris" wheel where any slight shift makes it move - the cars ride very smoothly and they are air conditioned to keep you cool. We got there pretty early in the morning because I can see how the line would grow pretty quickly.

They don't take cash, so good thing I had plastic with me. We had a good time. I would go on it again. cars are enclosed and air conditioned.

Great view but be aware what you see of DC is very small due to the distance. Go when it first opens to get more revolutions. Average number of turns is 4-5. As there was no one waiting we went around 7-8.

They also feature some VIP cars that have a glass floor so you can see through the bottom, nice leather chairs and Alexa so you can play whatever music you'd like to hear. You also get the photo package free - but it costs more to get on ($52 per person) and four people can fit in. But overall - great experience and our kids can't wait to go back!

We went around a bunch of times - I think you get about a 15 minute ride and they have a new bar that just opened up where you can buy a drink before you hop on it you want. It would be a great spot for a date-night to overlook the city and everything. They have a photo person who snaps a picture of you on a green screen before you get on the ride - I believe the standard package for a few pictures is about $20 bucks which is fairly standard for an area like this.

Nice ride. Kids love it. Must go when you are there.
